tactics and media through emarketing. I have hands-on experience in several categories
including financial services, food, household products, entertainment, non-profits,
travel, software and healthcare.
I've worked freelance for several years. My prior background includes "classic"
best-practices experience and training with some of our leading marketers and advertisers.
5 years in brand management at Procter & Gamble
6 years at 2 advertising agencies (Young & Rubicam and Palmer Bonner)
8 years as Assistant General Manager then General Manager at CIBC
3 years as VP Marketing for a software company

I've held responsibilities like a +$30 million budget, a $45 billion portfolio with
6 million customers, a department of 22 and managing or hiring advertising
agencies, researchers, creatives and suppliers. I've
served on management groups, industry committees, the Board of
Directors for a non-profit, given media interviews and made
marketing presentations across North America.
My academic background was in psychology and I've had on-going professional training
in areas like leadership, effective advertising, finance, research techniques, project
management and dealing with the media.
